- 4 Medium Carrots
- 2 Tablespoons Butter
- 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
- ¼ Teaspoon Salt
- ¼ Teaspoon Pepper
- ½ Cup Water
Instructions
- Peel and slice the carrots into equal-sized pieces.
- In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the carrots and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Mix in the brown sugar, salt, and pepper.
- Add enough water to just cover the carrots.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer until the carrots are tender and the liquid has reduced to a glaze, about 15-20 minutes.
- Serve warm.
Notes
Try adding a splash of orange juice for a citrus twist or sprinkle fresh herbs on top for added flavor.
