Description

Sweet and buttery glazed carrots that add a pop of color to any meal, perfect as a side dish.


Ingredients

  • 4 Medium Carrots
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter
  • 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • ¼ Teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ Teaspoon Pepper
  • ½ Cup Water

Instructions

  1. Peel and slice the carrots into equal-sized pieces.
  2. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the carrots and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Mix in the brown sugar, salt, and pepper.
  5. Add enough water to just cover the carrots.
  6. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer until the carrots are tender and the liquid has reduced to a glaze, about 15-20 minutes.
  7. Serve warm.

Notes

Try adding a splash of orange juice for a citrus twist or sprinkle fresh herbs on top for added flavor.
