Description

A hearty meatloaf infused with Italian flavors, topped with marinara sauce for a comforting dish.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound Italian sausage
  • 1 cup bell peppers, chopped
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup marinara sauce (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine ground beef, sausage, chopped bell peppers, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, milk, eggs, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.
  4. Spread marinara sauce on top of the meatloaf.
  5. Bake for 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  6. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

For best results, don’t overmix the ingredients and consider using fresh vegetables and herbs.
