- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg.
- In another bowl, cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Add pumpkin, milk, and egg to the butter mixture and mix until combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and pat to about 1-inch thickness.
- Cut out biscuits using a round cutter and place on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve warm.
Notes
Serve warm with butter or honey. Can be refrigerated or frozen for later use.
