- 2 slices of bread
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 slices of mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup pizza sauce
- 1/4 cup pepperoni slices
- 1/4 cup bell peppers, diced
- 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Spread 1 tablespoon of butter evenly on one side of each slice of bread.
- Place one slice of bread butter-side down in a skillet over medium heat.
- Layer the mozzarella cheese, pizza sauce, pepperoni slices, bell peppers, and Italian seasoning on the bread in the skillet.
- Carefully place the second slice of bread on top, butter-side up.
- Cook until the bottom slice is golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
- Flip the sandwich and cook until the other side is golden brown and cheese is melted, another 3-4 minutes.
- Remove from heat, slice in half, and serve warm.
Notes
For an extra cheesy flavor, mix in some grated parmesan with your mozzarella. You can also customize with different toppings like mushrooms or olives.
