Description

Delightful little pockets bursting with gooey mozzarella, spicy pepperoni, and rich pizza sauce, perfect for a fun appetizer or snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1 cup pepperoni slices
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Flour (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface and cut it into circles or squares.
  3. Take a few slices of pepperoni and sprinkle mozzarella cheese in the center of each dough piece.
  4. Next up, add a teaspoon of pizza sauce and a pinch of Italian seasoning on top.
  5. Fold the dough over to create pockets and use a fork to press the edges together.
  6. Beat the egg and brush it generously on top of each pocket.
  7. Place the baking sheet in the oven and let the pockets bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Once done, serve them warm with remaining pizza sauce for dipping.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes.
