- 1 package refrigerated pizza dough
- 1 cup pepperoni slices
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Flour (for dusting)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface and cut it into circles or squares.
- Take a few slices of pepperoni and sprinkle mozzarella cheese in the center of each dough piece.
- Next up, add a teaspoon of pizza sauce and a pinch of Italian seasoning on top.
- Fold the dough over to create pockets and use a fork to press the edges together.
- Beat the egg and brush it generously on top of each pocket.
- Place the baking sheet in the oven and let the pockets bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Once done, serve them warm with remaining pizza sauce for dipping.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes.
