Description

A comforting yet spicy one-pan dish with melted cheese and jalapeños, perfect for cozy family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Monterey Jack)
  • 12 jalapeños, diced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Heat olive oil over medium heat in a large oven-safe skillet.
  3. Season chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Sear the chicken for about 5-6 minutes on each side until browned.
  5. Set the chicken aside while keeping the skillet hot.
  6. Sauté the diced jalapeños in the same skillet for a couple of minutes.
  7. Combine the chicken and sprinkle cheese on top, then cover.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked and the cheese is melted.
  9. Garnish with fresh cilantro if desired and serve hot.

Notes

For a deeper flavor, consider marinating the chicken in the seasoning for an hour before cooking. Adjust jalapeño quantity for desired spiciness.
