Description

Umami-rich marinated boiled eggs that are a feast for the eyes and taste buds.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili oil
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Soft boil the eggs by bringing a pot of water to a boil and gently lowering the eggs in. Set a timer for six minutes.
  2. Cool and peel the eggs by transferring them to a bowl of cold water. Let them cool for a minute before peeling gently.
  3. Prepare the marinade by combining the soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and chili oil in a bowl and stirring until well mixed.
  4. Marinate the peeled eggs by placing them in the marinade, ensuring they are submerged. Let them sit for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Slice the marinated eggs in half and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

For best results, let the eggs marinate longer for enhanced flavor.
