Description

Hearty Italian Meatball Subs packed with seasoned beef meatballs, rich marinara sauce, and gooey mozzarella, perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 jar marinara sauce
  • 4 sub rolls
  • Mozzarella cheese, shredded

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, egg, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. With your hands, form the mixture into meatballs of even size, about 1 inch in diameter.
  4. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the meatballs until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Add the marinara sauce to the skillet with the meatballs and let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
  6. Place sub rolls on a baking sheet, fill each with meatballs and sauce, and generously top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
