- 4 chicken thighs or breasts
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and a pinch of salt and pepper in a bowl.
- Place chicken in a resealable bag or dish, and pour the marinade over the chicken. Seal and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, preferably 2 hours.
- Preheat the grill or a skillet over medium heat.
- Remove chicken from the marinade and discard the marinade.
- Grill or cook the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until cooked through and juices run clear.
- Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
Notes
For a deeper flavor, marinate overnight. You can substitute maple syrup for honey and add chili flakes for heat.
