Description

A delightful dish combining sweet and savory flavors, perfect for weeknights or gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chicken thighs or breasts
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and a pinch of salt and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Place chicken in a resealable bag or dish, and pour the marinade over the chicken. Seal and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, preferably 2 hours.
  3. Preheat the grill or a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Remove chicken from the marinade and discard the marinade.
  5. Grill or cook the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until cooked through and juices run clear.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

For a deeper flavor, marinate overnight. You can substitute maple syrup for honey and add chili flakes for heat.
