Ingredients

  • 100g bacon, chopped
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh thyme (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Crisp the chopped bacon over medium heat in a large ovenproof skillet until crispy, then set aside.
  3. Sauté the shallots in the skillet with olive oil for 5-7 minutes until caramelized.
  4. Drizzle honey over the shallots and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Roast in the oven for 15-20 minutes until tender and glazed.
  6. Combine the crispy bacon with the shallots in the skillet.
  7. Garnish with fresh thyme and serve warm.

Notes

For best results, ensure shallots are spaced out in the skillet to promote even caramelization.
