Description

Quick and nutritious cookies sweetened with ripe bananas, perfect for busy mornings and enjoyable for toddlers.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 ripe banana, mashed
  • 1/2 cup applesauce
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup raisins or chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix together the rolled oats, mashed banana, and applesauce in a large bowl.
  3. Stir in the whole wheat flour, honey or maple syrup, cinnamon, and salt until a dough forms.
  4. Fold in the raisins or chocolate chips if using.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto a lined baking sheet, flattening them slightly.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the edges are golden.
  7. Allow to cool before serving.

Store leftover cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days, or freeze for up to three months.
