Description
A wholesome and nourishing breakfast apple crumble, filled with baked apples and a crunchy oat topping.
Ingredients

- 2 cups oats
- 2 cups chopped apples
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
- 1/2 cup walnuts or pecans, chopped
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine chopped apples with cinnamon, nutmeg, and a pinch of salt.
- Mix oats, almond flour, and chopped nuts together in another bowl.
- Add melted coconut oil and honey (or maple syrup) to the oat mixture and stir until combined.
- In a baking dish, layer the apple mixture evenly on the bottom.
- Sprinkle the oat mixture on top of the apple layer.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and crisp.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Serve with a side of Greek yogurt or a splash of almond milk for added flavor.
