- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Parmesan cheese for serving
- Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat and set aside.
- Sauté the diced onions and minced garlic in the same skillet until the onions are translucent.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes and sprinkle in the Italian seasoning. Let it simmer for 5 minutes.
- Pour in the heavy cream and stir until well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Cook the orzo pasta according to package instructions, then drain.
- Mix the cooked orzo into the creamy sauce, followed by the ground beef.
- Serve hot, garnished with Parmesan cheese and fresh basil, if desired.
Notes
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stovetop or in the microwave.
