- 4 croissants
- 4 large eggs
- 4 slices of cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or your choice)
- 4 slices of cooked bacon or ham
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Butter (for cooking eggs)
- Fresh herbs (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Split each croissant in half.
- In a skillet, melt a bit of butter over medium heat. Crack the eggs into the skillet and cook to your preferred style (scrambled, fried, etc.). Season with salt and pepper.
- On the bottom half of each croissant, place a slice of cheese, followed by bacon or ham, and then the cooked egg.
- Top with any fresh herbs if desired, and place the other half of the croissant on top.
- Place the sandwiches in the oven for about 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the croissants are warmed through.
- Serve hot.
