Description

Delightful waffles infused with the aromatic flavors of Earl Grey tea and topped with vibrant mixed berries.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons Earl Grey tea leaves or 1 Earl Grey tea bag (steeped in milk)
  • Mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries) for topping
  • Maple syrup for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  2. Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Combine the milk, eggs, melted butter, vanilla extract, and steeped Earl Grey tea in another bowl.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Lightly grease the waffle iron with butter or non-stick spray and pour in the batter.
  6. Close the lid and cook until golden brown and crisp, about 5 minutes.
  7. Carefully remove the waffles from the iron and serve topped with mixed berries and maple syrup.

Notes

Leftover waffles can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. For longer storage, freeze them and reheat in a toaster.
