Description

A hearty and comforting dish featuring juicy chicken breasts topped with a creamy jalapeño cheese mix, perfect for weeknight meals or family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 23 jalapeños, diced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, diced jalapeños, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat with olive oil and season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Sear for 5-7 minutes on each side.
  4. Transfer the chicken to a baking dish and spread the cheese mixture evenly over each piece.
  5. Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is bubbling and golden.
  6. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot.

Notes

For a milder flavor, reduce the number of jalapeños or use mild peppers. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days.
