Description

Deliciously crispy and tender popcorn chicken made in an air fryer, perfect for family gatherings or movie nights.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Soak the chicken in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Combine breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  4. Coat each piece of chicken with the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and arrange the chicken in a single layer.
  6. Cook for 12-15 minutes until golden and crispy, shaking the basket halfway through.
  7. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces.

Notes

For extra crispiness, use panko breadcrumbs. Leftover chicken can be reheated in the air fryer to reset its crunch.
