- 1 pound gnocchi
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 ounces burrata cheese
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the gnocchi according to package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set them aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about a minute until it’s fragrant.
- Pour in the crushed tomatoes, stirring in the heavy cream and Italian seasoning. Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
- Allow the sauce to simmer for about 5-7 minutes until it’s heated through and begins to thicken slightly.
- Add the cooked gnocchi to the skillet and toss them gently to coat in the savory sauce.
- Tear the burrata cheese into pieces and place them on top of the gnocchi.
- Serve the gnocchi hot, garnished with fresh basil leaves.
