Description

Delightfully soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies infused with the warm, sweet flavor of Vietnamese cinnamon.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (preferably Vietnamese)
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the flour, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon in another bowl.
  5. Blend the dry ingredients into the creamed mixture.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Shape rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet, then transfer to a wire rack.

Notes

Chill the dough for extra chewiness. Store leftover cookies in an airtight container.
