- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (preferably Vietnamese)
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Combine the flour, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon in another bowl.
- Blend the dry ingredients into the creamed mixture.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Shape rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
- Cool on the baking sheet, then transfer to a wire rack.
Notes
Chill the dough for extra chewiness. Store leftover cookies in an airtight container.
