Deliciously soft and fluffy garlic naan, perfect for pairing with your favorite curry or sauce.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons warm water
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 34 cloves garlic (minced)
  • Fresh cilantro (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Gather your ingredients.
  2. Mix the flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
  3. Add yogurt and warm water; mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes.
  5. Cover and let it rest for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Divide the dough into balls and roll each into a flatbread shape.
  7. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a little butter.
  8. Place the naan in the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes until bubbles form.
  9. Flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden and lightly charred.
  10. Combine melted butter with minced garlic in a small bowl.
  11. Brush the garlic butter on the cooked naan and garnish with cilantro.
