Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine the dry ingredients in a large bowl: all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Fold in the fresh blueberries gently.
  5. Mix the wet ingredients in a separate bowl: milk and vanilla extract.
  6. Combine the milk mixture with the dry ingredients and stir just until combined.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about two inches apart.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Cool slightly before serving.
