Description

A delightful dessert capturing the essence of summer with juicy strawberries and peaches topped with a buttery crumble.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 1 pound strawberries, hulled and quartered
  • 2 Tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 Tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour (for topping)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for topping)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (for topping)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (for topping)
  • 12 Tablespoons salted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F so it’s nice and hot when your crumble is ready to bake!
  2. In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches and quartered strawberries. Add the fresh lemon juice, granulated sugar, and 3 tablespoons of flour. Toss gently to evenly distribute the ingredients.
  3. Transfer your beautifully mixed fruit filling into a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Spread it out evenly.
  4. In another bowl, combine 2 cups of flour, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, 1/2 cup brown sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Stir together until all ingredients are blended.
  5. Add the melted butter to the flour mixture. Use a fork to stir until the mixture is crumbly.
  6. Sprinkle your crumble topping generously over the fruit filling.
  7. Place your baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 40-45 minutes.
  8. Once baked, take it out of the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Serve it warm.

Notes

Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for an indulgent dessert. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days.
