Description

Delightful heart-shaped pastries filled with a luscious cream cheese mixture and sweet strawberries, perfect for any gathering or sweet indulgence.


Ingredients

  • 1 package puff pastry
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup strawberries, diced
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Optional: additional powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Cut out heart shapes using a cookie cutter.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Place a spoonful of cream cheese mixture in the center of each heart pastry and add diced strawberries on top.
  5. Fold the edges of the heart pastry over the filling and pinch to seal.
  6. Brush the tops of each danish with the beaten egg.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and puffy.
  8. Cool before serving and dust with powdered sugar if desired.
