- 4 ripe bananas, sliced
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced bananas with half of the sugar. Set aside.
- In another bowl, mix together the melted butter, flour, milk, baking powder, vanilla extract, salt, and remaining sugar until smooth.
- Pour the prepared batter into a greased baking dish.
- Layer the banana mixture generously over the top of the batter.
- Bake for about 45 minutes, until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let your cobbler cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream; add nuts or caramel sauce for extra flavor.
