- 1 cup sourdough starter
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh herbs (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large bowl, mix the sourdough starter, Greek yogurt, and melted butter until well combined.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese and fresh herbs, if using.
- Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and gently knead a few times.
- Pat the dough into a 1-inch thick round and cut out biscuits with a biscuit cutter.
- Place the biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
