Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sourdough starter
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh herbs (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the sourdough starter, Greek yogurt, and melted butter until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  5. Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese and fresh herbs, if using.
  6. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and gently knead a few times.
  7. Pat the dough into a 1-inch thick round and cut out biscuits with a biscuit cutter.
  8. Place the biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
