Description

A comforting dish featuring tender beef and vegetables simmered in a rich broth, served over egg noodles for a delightful meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs beef chuck roast
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup carrots, sliced
  • 1 cup celery, sliced
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Egg noodles or rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. Place the beef chuck roast in the slow cooker.
  2. Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, sliced carrots, sliced celery, diced tomatoes, and beef broth.
  3. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours, or until the beef is tender.
  5. Shred the beef with two forks and mix it with the vegetables.
  6. Serve over cooked egg noodles or rice.

Notes

Pair with crusty bread to soak up the sauce. The dish can also be customized with different vegetables.
