Description

A comforting breakfast dish featuring spiced sausage, crispy hashbrowns, and melted cheddar cheese, perfect for family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb breakfast sausage
  • 1 package (30 oz) frozen hashbrowns
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup diced onions (optional)
  • 1/2 cup diced bell peppers (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the breakfast sausage over medium heat until browned.
  3. Remove the sausage from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Add diced onions and bell peppers to the skillet and cook until softened.
  5. In a mixing bowl, combine the hashbrowns, cooked sausage, onions, and bell peppers.
  6. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
  7. Pour the egg mixture over the hashbrown mixture and stir thoroughly.
  8. Pour everything into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  9. Sprinkle the top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  10. Bake for about 45-50 minutes, until the egg is set and cheese is melted.
  11. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
