Description

A nostalgic and hearty breakfast sandwich featuring a perfectly cooked sausage patty, a flavorful egg, and melted cheese, all sandwiched in a toasted bun.


Ingredients

  • 1 sausage patty
  • 1 egg
  • 1 slice of cheese
  • 1 breakfast bun or English muffin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Butter (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage patty until it’s browned and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
  2. Once the sausage is done, crack the egg into the skillet and cook to your desired doneness, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  3. Just before the egg is done, lay a slice of cheese on top to melt.
  4. Toast the breakfast bun or English muffin in a toaster until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Assemble the sandwich by placing the sausage patty on the bottom bun, layer with the cheesy egg, and top it with the other half of the bun.
  6. If desired, spread a little butter on the toasted bun before assembling for extra flavor.
