- 1 egg
- 1 slice of cheese
- 1 breakfast bun or English muffin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Butter (optional)
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage patty until it’s browned and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
- Once the sausage is done, crack the egg into the skillet and cook to your desired doneness, seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Just before the egg is done, lay a slice of cheese on top to melt.
- Toast the breakfast bun or English muffin in a toaster until golden brown and crispy.
- Assemble the sandwich by placing the sausage patty on the bottom bun, layer with the cheesy egg, and top it with the other half of the bun.
- If desired, spread a little butter on the toasted bun before assembling for extra flavor.
