A colorful twist on the classic Italian lasagna, filled with creamy alfredo, rich sausage, and tangy ricotta.

- 9 lasagna noodles
- 1 pound Italian sausage
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 2 cups alfredo sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, over medium heat, cook the Italian sausage until browned and cooked through. Drain excess fat.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, an egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until creamy and well blended.
- Spread a layer of alfredo sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Layer three lasagna noodles on top of the sauce, followed by a layer of cooked sausage, a scoop of ricotta mixture, a sprinkle of mozzarella, and more alfredo. Repeat the process, finishing with noodles topped with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For a crispy cheese crust, broil the lasagna for a minute or two after baking. You can also assemble ahead of time and store in the fridge overnight.
