Description

Delightful layers of buttery dough filled with warm, spiced peach filling, perfect for breakfast or dessert.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups fresh peaches, diced
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Sugar for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a muffin tin with butter or cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract. Gradually pour into the dry mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  4. Toss the diced peaches with cinnamon and cornstarch until evenly coated.
  5. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough into a large rectangle, then cut into strips.
  6. Fill each strip of dough with the peach mixture, folding or rolling to fit into the muffin tin.
  7. Brush the tops with egg wash and sprinkle sugar on top.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving.
