Description

A simple yet flavorful oven-baked chicken dish infused with the fresh tastes of lemon, garlic, and oregano.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Feta cheese for topping (optional)
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl until well combined.
  3. Place the chicken breasts in a baking dish, then pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are well coated.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
  5. Optionally, sprinkle feta cheese on top in the last 5 minutes of baking, allowing it to melt.
  6. Remove from the oven, let rest for a few minutes, and garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Marinate the chicken ahead of time for added flavor. You can swap dried oregano for fresh with double the quantity for a bright taste.
