Description

A vibrant blend of crunch and creaminess, this Old Fashioned Sauerkraut Salad is a nostalgic favorite at family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 jar (16 oz) sauerkraut, drained
  • 1 cup diced carrots
  • 1 cup diced celery
  • 1 cup diced onions
  • 1 cup diced green bell pepper
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained sauerkraut, carrots, celery, onions, and green bell pepper.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the sugar with the mayonnaise until smooth.
  3. Pour the mayonnaise mixture over the vegetable mixture and stir until well combined.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
