Description

Delightful bite-sized treats with a flaky crust and gooey pecan filling, perfect for gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a mini muffin tin.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat together the flour, softened butter, granulated sugar, and egg yolk until smooth.
  3. Press the flour mixture into the bottom and up the sides of each muffin cup to create a delicate crust.
  4. In another bowl, mix together the chopped pecans, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and salt.
  5. Spoon the pecan mixture generously into each crust.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the filling is set and golden.
  7. Let the pecan tassies cool before gently removing them from the tin.

Notes

Pairs well with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
