Description

A festive take on fries featuring Cajun seasoning, cheddar cheese, crispy bacon, and fresh toppings.


Ingredients

  • 2 large russet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 1/4 cup hot sauce (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Wash and cut the russet potatoes into fry shapes.
  3. Toss the freshly cut fries with vegetable oil and Cajun seasoning.
  4. Spread the fries evenly on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes, turning halfway through.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar on top of the fries.
  7. Return fries to the oven for an additional 5 minutes to melt the cheese.
  8. Top with chopped green onions, sour cream, crumbled bacon, and hot sauce.
  9. Serve hot.

Notes

For maximum crispiness, cut fries uniformly and do not overcrowd the baking sheet.
