Description

A delightful take on the classic grilled cheese, using sweet Hawaiian rolls and layers of melted cheese for a tropical twist.


Ingredients

  • 4 Hawaiian rolls
  • 4 slices of cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your favorite type)
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • Optional: add-ins such as ham, turkey, or seasonings

Instructions

  1. Preheat your skillet over medium heat.
  2. Spread butter on one side of each Hawaiian roll.
  3. Assemble the sandwich with cheese slices between two pieces of Hawaiian rolls, buttered side out.
  4. Grill the sandwich for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown and cheese begins to melt.
  5. Flip the sandwich and grill the other side for another 3-4 minutes until golden and gooey.
  6. Remove from skillet, slice in half, and enjoy!

Notes

Pairs well with a light salad or warm tomato soup. Store leftovers tightly wrapped in the fridge for up to 2 days.
