Description

Elegant and simple savory crêpes filled with gooey cheese and salty ham, perfect for brunch or cozy dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sliced ham
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (such as Gruyère or Swiss)
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the flour and eggs. Gradually add in the milk and melted butter, stirring until smooth. Add salt and mix well.
  2. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and pour a small amount of batter, tilting the pan to coat the bottom. Cook for 1-2 minutes until the edges begin to lift, then flip and cook the other side for about 1 minute.
  3. Once the crêpe is cooked, remove it from the skillet and fill with sliced ham and cheese. Fold or roll the crêpe around the filling.
  4. Repeat with remaining batter, creating a stack of filled crêpes ready to be devoured.
  5. Serve warm, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

Keep crêpes warm by stacking them in a low oven as you cook. Experiment with fillings like mushrooms, spinach, or sweet options like Nutella and banana.
