Description

Ingredients

  • 1 medium head of cabbage, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: cooked bacon or sausage for added flavor

Instructions

  1. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  2. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat until bubbly and fragrant.
  3. Add the chopped onion to the skillet and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Next, add the chopped cabbage and sauté until tender and slightly caramelized, about 6-8 minutes.
  5. Stir in the drained egg noodles, tossing gently to combine.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve hot, optionally topped with crispy cooked bacon or sausage.

Notes

For a vegan version, replace butter with olive oil and omit bacon.
