- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 1/2 cup lettuce, shredded
- 2 bolillo rolls or sandwich buns
- Mayonnaise or crema (optional)
- Jalapeños (optional)
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with chili powder, garlic powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the seasoned chicken for 6-7 minutes per side.
- Slice the bolillo rolls in half and optionally toast them in the skillet.
- Spread mayonnaise or crema on both halves of the rolls.
- Layer the sliced chicken, avocado, tomato, and shredded lettuce on the bottom half of each roll.
- Add jalapeño slices if desired.
- Top with the other half of the bun, press down gently, and serve immediately.
