Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup almond flour
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tablespoons cold water
  • 1/2 cup almond cream (marzipan)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Sliced almonds (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix the all-purpose flour, powdered sugar, almond flour, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in the egg yolk and cold water until the dough comes together.
  5. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface and press it into a tart pan.
  6. Fill the crust with almond cream, smoothing it out until level.
  7. Brush the edges with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  8. Sprinkle sliced almonds on top.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Let it cool before serving.

Notes

For a different flavor, add vanilla extract to the almond cream or use other nuts like hazelnuts.
