- 14 oz firm tofu
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Skewers (wooden or metal)
- Pita bread (for serving)
- Vegetables (such as bell peppers, onions, and zucchini) for grilling
Instructions
- Press the tofu to remove excess moisture and cut into bite-sized cubes.
- In a bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
- Add cubed tofu to the marinade and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
- If using wooden skewers, soak them in water while the tofu marinates.
- Preheat the grill or grill pan to medium heat.
- Assemble skewers with marinated tofu and vegetables.
- Grill the skewers for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally.
- Serve the tofu souvlaki hot in warm pita bread with your favorite toppings.
