Description

A simple yet delightful chocolate cake topped with a creamy glaze and whipped topping, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • 2 cups whipped topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until smooth.
  3. Fold in the sour cream and optional chopped nuts.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Allow the cake to cool completely in the pan.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, adding water to form a glaze.
