- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup croissant dough (or pre-made croissants)
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and salt and whisk together.
- In a separate bowl, combine the milk, melted butter, and egg.
- Stir the active dry yeast into the milk mixture and let it sit for about 5 minutes.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a rough dough forms.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic (about 5 minutes).
- Fold in the pre-made croissant dough.
- Transfer the dough into a greased loaf pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Let the loaf cool in the pan for 10 minutes before moving it to a wire rack.
Notes
Serve warm with butter or enjoy as toast. Can also be used for French toast.
