Ingredients

  • 1 block of firm tofu
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Green onions for garnish
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu to remove excess moisture and chop into bite-sized cubes.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, rice vinegar, and sesame oil.
  3. Toss the tofu cubes in cornstarch until well-coated.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat, add tofu cubes, and cook until golden brown and crispy, about 8-10 minutes.
  5. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the crispy tofu and stir gently to coat.
  6. Simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, add chili flakes to the sauce or bake the tofu instead of frying for a healthier option.
