Description

Deliciously flaky stacks of puff pastry filled with savory ham and melty cheese, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package of puff pastry sheets
  • 8 oz sliced ham
  • 8 oz sliced cheese (such as Swiss or cheddar)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: mustard or sauce for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a floured surface and cut them into 3×3 inch squares.
  3. On half of the squares, place a slice of ham and a slice of cheese.
  4. Top with another square of puff pastry and press the edges to seal.
  5. In a small bowl, beat the egg and brush it over the tops of the pastry stacks.
  6. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and flaky.
  8. Serve warm with mustard or your choice of sauce.
