Description

Ingredients

  • 12 oz rigatoni pasta
  • 1 lb Italian sausage
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups spinach
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the rigatoni pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until the onions are translucent.
  3. Add the Italian sausage, breaking it up with a wooden spoon, and cook until browned and fully cooked through.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and sprinkle in the grated Parmesan cheese. Stir well to create a rich, creamy sauce.
  5. Add the cooked rigatoni and spinach into the skillet, tossing all ingredients together until the spinach wilts.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil.
