Description

A comforting and delicious casserole with shredded chicken, creamy sauce, and a tangy twist from Dijon mustard, perfect for family gatherings or weeknight dinners.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 cup cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, cooked rice, cream of mushroom soup, Dijon mustard, chicken broth, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Stir in frozen peas and half of the grated cheddar cheese.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish and spread evenly.
  5. Top the casserole with remaining cheddar cheese and breadcrumbs if using.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until hot and bubbly, and cheese is golden brown.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving.
