Description

A delightful dish that combines robust flank steak with comforting tortellini, all sautéed with garlic and topped with fresh tomatoes and Parmesan.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz tortellini
  • 1 lb flank steak
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil for garnish
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Begin by cooking the tortellini according to package instructions; once done, drain and set aside.
  2. Season the flank steak generously with salt and pepper.
  3. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Place the seasoned flank steak into the skillet. Sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Remove from skillet and let it rest before slicing.
  5. Add the halved cherry tomatoes into the same skillet and sauté until softened.
  6. Toss the cooked tortellini into the skillet, along with the sautéed tomatoes and sliced steak. Sprinkle in the grated Parmesan cheese.
  7. Garnish with fresh basil before serving warm.

Notes

Consider marinating the steak for a few hours to enhance flavor. Use store-bought tortellini for convenience without compromising taste.
