Description
A delightful dish that combines robust flank steak with comforting tortellini, all sautéed with garlic and topped with fresh tomatoes and Parmesan.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz tortellini
- 1 lb flank steak
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil for garnish
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Begin by cooking the tortellini according to package instructions; once done, drain and set aside.
- Season the flank steak generously with salt and pepper.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Place the seasoned flank steak into the skillet. Sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Remove from skillet and let it rest before slicing.
- Add the halved cherry tomatoes into the same skillet and sauté until softened.
- Toss the cooked tortellini into the skillet, along with the sautéed tomatoes and sliced steak. Sprinkle in the grated Parmesan cheese.
- Garnish with fresh basil before serving warm.
Notes
Consider marinating the steak for a few hours to enhance flavor. Use store-bought tortellini for convenience without compromising taste.
