A delightful loaf capturing the nostalgic flavor of cinnamon sugar donuts, perfect for breakfast or a sweet afternoon snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar for coating
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon for coating

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon until combined.
  3. In another bowl, beat together the sugar, milk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top.
  6. Bake for 50-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. While warm, brush the top with melted butter and coat with a mix of sugar and cinnamon.

Notes

Don’t overmix for a light and fluffy texture. You can also add chocolate chips or nuts for extra flavor.
