Description

A creamy cheesecake with a decadent chocolate base and refreshing orange zest, perfect for gatherings and special occasions.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 8 oz dark chocolate, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the chocolate graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Press this mixture into the bottom of a springform pan.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sugar until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Mix in the vanilla extract, sour cream, orange zest, orange juice, and melted dark chocolate until fully combined.
  6. Pour the cheesecake mixture over the crust in the springform pan.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly.
  8. Allow the cheesecake to cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

Top with whipped cream or chocolate sauce. Pairs well with espresso or dessert wine.
