Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and milk.
- Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Divide the batter evenly into the prepared cupcake liners and bake for 18-20 minutes.
- Let the cupcakes cool completely.
- For the mousse, whip the heavy cream and powdered sugar together until you achieve soft peaks.
- Gently fold the vanilla extract into the whipped cream.
- Once the cupcakes are cool, cut a small section out of the center of each cupcake.
- Fill the centers of each cupcake with the mousse.
- Top with chocolate shavings or chips.
- Serve chilled and enjoy!
